Founded in 2003 by husband and wife duo Diana Irani and Julien Gressier, Blank is a unique label based in East London. We love their luxe, bohemian aesthetic created with feminine shapes contrasted against their signature bold prints and vivid colours.
Conditions Apply is the sister brand to Blank who are based in Shoreditch with a factory operating in Delhi. The brand has an ethnic spirit, using an array of vibrant colour and prints much like Blank, and ethics are at the forefront of the brands identity.
We love to work with these brands as they allow us to mix prints, silhouettes and designs to create something completely new and unique to Berties. We have kept our customers in mind when working with their designers to bring you pieces that are flattering, exciting and of the highest quality.
Prints, Prints, Prints!
One of the many reasons we love these brands so much is for their incredible prints. The use of colour and print creates fun and stunning pieces that really stand out, yet the designs are incredibly versatile and can be worn in a variety of ways, for any occasion.
Romantic dresses, chic tops and statement pants are more than fashionable and are something your wardrobe might be missing. If you love unique designs and bold prints as much as we do, all we can say is that the new collections from Blank London and Conditions Apply are very exciting!
Spring is such a vibrant season when you can experiment with fun hues and contrasting colours to brighten up your outfits. Paisley is a classic print that always looks on trend, and can be worn all year round.
This striking turquoise print is ideal for the warmer seasons and pairs perfectly with denim and white. We would pair ours with blue or white denim to keep the colour palette cohesive and finish the look with a sleek ankle boot. If you wanted a more relaxed look we love wearing ours with bright pumps and a grab bag. A maxi shirt dress is so versatile and can be worn with all of your summer staples.
Depending on your personal style you may prefer this vibrant magenta take on the print, with subtle hints of tan and brown. This is more appropriate for transitioning between the cooler months but can still be worn in the Summer. We would again pair this with jeans, but if you prefer to wear yours just as a dress then not to worry! There are so many variations f accessories that can be worn with this print, from belts to necklaces to scarves. Play around with accessories and colours to create different looks with your dress.
If you want to embrace the colourful and boho-chic side of the Spring/Summer 2020, look no further than the ombre trend. Combining bright colours with pastels to create a new print, this ombre effect is interesting and flattering. If you are just starting to incorporate print into your wardrobe this subtle print is the perfect way to start!
A sleeveless shirt is the ideal piece for layering and can be such a versatile piece in your wardrobe. For Spring/Summer we would pair ours with white or light denim, and when the weather cools wear with contrasting black to make the print pop. If you are shorter this can also work as a dress or beach cover up and is ideal for a holiday. To dress yours up wear a strappy sandal or wedge and a grab bag, or your favourite ankle boots.
Flora and Fauna are always on trend going into Spring/Summer, and so we had to incorporate the print into this collection. Opting for a more relaxed and calm colour palette, this Sage print is ideal for the warmer months and is flattering for all hair and skin tones.
As this is a more subtle print we have styled it with a contrasting black belt which makes the waist look smaller and the print more vibrant. This print also works with a more neutral colour palette and can be paired with white, cream, sage and ecru.
Bold colours and geometric shapes have been seen all over the runways, and we know why! We love the use of contrasting colours against a neutral background and the circular print is very unique.
Bright and bold prints can be so fun as you can pick out colours to highlight and accentuate. We have focused on the red in this circular print and paired ours with the Riani cami and Unisa sling-back heels. If big and bold is not your style then pair your prints with denim to create an off-duty look that is still fabulous and stylish. Fashion trends are always changing, but printed garments will always be cool and modern as there are so many options and ways to style them.
